It seems as if we are surrounded by chaos. But this state of disruption, of all the old systems falling apart, is what makes space for the new, especially when the old ways were unsustainable.
But this chaotic moment is the time to reclaim your attention from what triggers fear, anxiety or helplessness, and focus on your vision for the new - your new life, our new world.
With Saturn, the great manifestor, being amplified by the Pisces North Node well into the month of May, we are supported to lay the foundation for the new. Venus is part of this energy as well, until the end of this month, reminding you to stay true to your values. This combination in Pisces amplifies the power of imagination to create what you want. The new emerges as the energy shifts to Aries in June.
The shadow expression of the moment is to stay in fear or hate toward what and whom you don’t want, or to become stuck in delusions or confusion about what’s happening outside your personal experience. If you remember that everyone is vying for your attention and has their own agenda, you can maintain perspective and hone your powers of discernment.
You’ll know you’ve been caught when your emotions get triggered, especially toward the end of this month.
In addition to the creative energy of the Pisces to Aries transition, the end of April brings the final opposition between Mars and Pluto, a volatile combination. In the midst of the overarching theme of endings and beginnings, the Mars-Pluto combination may bring a sense of “do or die”, a final breakthrough moment. And while the Saturnian push is more measured, the Mars-Pluto energy is anything but.
Here is what I wrote at the time of the first (of three) opposition last fall:
Mars and Pluto are both power planets, related to will, desire, and passion. Mars operates in the more personal, visible, and material realm. It points to what gives us energy, lights our fire, and what we choose to go after. Pluto, as an invisible planet, governs the hidden, subconscious passions we may have trouble bringing to consciousness, much less admitting. It is a chthonic force that comes from the deepest place within.
The two planets in tension, such as in an opposition, bring struggle for dominance and control, and often involve force. This is true in a natal chart as well as in world events. With an opposition, too, often comes projection onto another. Accusations of evil and vilifying others can be an effect of this configuration.
This next year offers real opportunity for progress towards your dream. We are in a unique time in history, with numerous activations of the first degree of the Zodiac, 0 Aries. Pisces brings the dream, Aries brings emergence of what is becoming. The unsettled energy of change is an opening for new possibilities when you allow for them.
Saturn as spiritual ally
The manifestation of a new possibility in the world of space and time - i.e., the world of humans on Earth - necessitates both holding the vision and patiently following the process over time. Embracing your inner Saturn is the key to bringing a new dream into form. Saturn is often the missing ingredient for those who aren’t satisfied with their lives, especially now.
As the keeper to the keys of the gate between immanence and transcendence, Saturn is your ally in integrating the spiritual and the material.
