The birth of the new requires the death of the old
The Pisces New Moon offers a chance to let go
Join us this Friday, February 28th at 10 am Mountain/Noon Eastern for a live workshop on working with the rare energy portals of March. All subscribers receive the Zoom link on Thursday. Paid subscribers will have access to the recording as well.
It can be painful to allow a dream to die. When you have organized your life around a particular vision, oriented your time, energy and resources to a way of being, it can be jarring to realize that way is closing.
Yet, by clinging to an old ideal, you preclude the birth of something new.
Thursday’s New Moon in Pisces (5:44 pm Mountain) presents the chance to soften and dissolve an old dream to make way for a new vision for your life. Jupiter, classic ruler of Pisces, challenges us at the New Moon to be available for more - and “more” might not mean what you think. If you honor this time as preparation for what’s coming, the expansive, transcendent qualities of this lunation allow you to explore possibilities and what-if scenarios that test your boundaries of the known.
Jupiter rules natural law, the way the world works. Questions asked by Jupiter include these: in what or whom do you place your faith? What beliefs and stories do you hold so deeply they color your existence? And how can you allow them to soften and point you to some greater Truth, and new dream?
If you are finding yourself diving into fear over the news or events in your life, maybe it is time to examine your answer to Einstein’s question: Is the universe friendly?
The intense line-up in Pisces (five planets plus the North Node) requires growing your capacity to hold uncertainty and confusion. With the rapid pace of change in the world, there is no center of stability outside yourself. Only by regularly connecting with your inner still point can you allow the swirl without being swept up in it. Only be staying firmly in touch with your physical body and natural wisdom can you surf the Piscean waves of sensitivity and dissolution.
The New Moon opens the portal to eclipse season (but is not in itself an eclipse), a six-week period of unpredictability and sudden shifts. We will take a closer look at both eclipses in Friday’s workshop, as well as the upcoming Venus retrograde journey. Plus, we’ll play around with how to interpret and work with the Moon “walking upon the land” this coming month.
If you haven’t looked at the sky lately, you are missing quite the show from Venus, high and bright in the evening sky. And when the Moon re-appears early next week after its meet-up with the Sun, notice how low it is in the sky. This appearance will become more dramatic as we get closer to the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on March 14th, and the Moon “walks upon the land”.
One of the general messages from the cosmos these days is the reminder that you are not in control. Yet, paradoxically, you have far more power than you realize. Come join us on Friday to play with softening control and honoring your power to co-create new possibilities in your life.
