The astrology - and politics - of fear

Headline the other day in the mainstream news: “America is having a panic attack over the election”.
There are several places in an astrology chart that can specifically point to fear as a potential interpretation. A whole bunch of them are activated at the Scorpio New Moon on Friday, November 1st, just four days before the US election.
At Friday’s New Moon, the two planets associated with Scorpio, Mars (traditional ruler) and Pluto oppose each other across the sky. As I said in an earlier post, the opposition tends to bring projection, and the vilification of the other is running rampant at the moment.
