Our workshop to reclaim your Saturn, scheduled for today, has been postponed. I will let you know as soon as I have a new date.
Meanwhile, here is a Saturn reclamation practice to play with on your own.
We have all given away our authority to various people and situations at times. Partners, parents, bosses, gurus, and even (especially now) politicians and officials. Blame, anger at someone or something, and all forms of hate are ways of projecting our power. See what happens when you follow the steps below:
For the course of one day, have paper and pen or a notes app on your phone handy. Every time you find yourself afraid of what someone might do or say; angry at something someone has done or said; or feeling powerless for any reason, jot it down. Include a description of what you are feeling, and what triggered it.
At the end of the day, find a time and place you can be on your own for 10 minutes or so.
Review your list and notice if anything has changed.
Spend a moment bringing your attention to your breath, noticing the expansion and contraction of breath and body in the moment.
Take your arms wide, and as you slowly sweep them around into a self-hug, gather back the energy and authority you have given to the people and situations on your list. Integrate back into yourself the knowledge of having choice over your words and actions.
Spend another moment cultivating a sense of trust in your ability to respond creatively and powerfully to any situation.
Saturn moves into the sign of Aries for the first time in nearly 30 years on May 24th, beginning a whole new era of self-responsibility. More on that soon.
I’d love to know your experience if you try this practice, or have another one you find useful.
