Friday’s Taurus Full Moon presents a huge opportunity for revelations and awakenings. The Moon will be exactly conjunct (together with) the disruptive, rebellious planet Uranus, also knows as “The Great Awakener”. Expect the unexpected, in other words.
But, if you are hoping other people will suddenly ‘get it’ and see the same truth you do, you will miss this opportunity. We can only ever change ourselves. Hoping for others to ‘wake up’ or see things our way is a subtle form of tyranny that only contributes to feeling powerless. It is especially tempting when world views seem so incredibly different from each other, even within one country or even one family.
Be open to your own personal apocalypse (removing of the veil). (And yes, this is the same advice I am giving myself!)
The other thing to know about this Full Moon (Friday, Nov 15th at 2:28 pm Mountain) is that it is likely to be very uncomfortable. Full Moons tend to heighten emotions anyway, but Uranus has an electrifying effect. It can agitate the nervous system. If you are feeling jumpy and on edge, remember it’s not personal.
Plus, this is the last new or full moon with Pluto in Capricorn for nearly 250 years. Part of the edginess comes from Pluto being on the verge of moving into Aquarius for the first time since the late 1700s. The power struggles we are seeing are symptoms of Pluto finishing its job in Capricorn.
Pluto dredges up the shadows and distortions of whatever sign or house it is in for composting. Pluto teaches the difference between authentic power and the illusion that we can be in control of anything or anyone. In Capricorn, it has been highlighting the very real distinction between mastery and exploitation of the material (i.e. Earth) realm. It has been showing us quite clearly how authority can turn into authoritarian, particularly within our institutions.
Back to the part about revelations.
Power struggles are an inside job. If you see tyranny everywhere you look, it’s time to get a mirror. Rather than hoping the tyrants will get their due, be open to revelations about how you confuse power with control out of a sense of being powerless. Which you most assuredly are not.
All full moons are intense, and are traditionally a time of cleansing and taking it a little easy for that reason. Try putting the phone away for a while, reducing the caffeine input, and finding some more restful activities for a couple of days. Taurus is the sign of material pleasure and enjoyment, so doing what feels good is especially nourishing right now., and most people I know could use a little more pleasure!
May your Full Moon experience be pleasurable and revealing in the best ways possible!
Thank you. You remind us that our own awakening is key 🌈
