Our next Astro-salon for paid members will be held on Friday, June 20th in honor of the Cancer Solstice. Celebration, astro-guidance, and deep relaxation are on the agenda!!
The solar turning point of the year is less than two weeks away. The Sun reaches its northernmost point at 0 degrees Cancer on Saturday, June 21st. The solar year is half over, and we have ridden a roller coaster of eclipses, retrogrades, and major planetary shifts. And there is more to come.
While June brings more planetary shifting, it may feel somewhat more expansive than explosive. The (literally) big player of the month is Jupiter, often interpreted as abundance but representing the principle of expansion of whatever it touches. Jupiter also points to what we put our faith in, the system of conscious and unconscious beliefs that drive our experience of the world.
The past year of Jupiter in Gemini, sign of its detriment in classical astrology, has seen some people putting their faith in AI, or social media, or particular news sources, for example. There has been a tremendous amount of information spewing from widely varied sources, but little sense-making. Each of us has had to (and will continue to) make our own meaning and choose what or whom to believe.
Jupiter leaves behind the information overload and cacophony of opinions of Gemini for Cancer on June 9th, where it stays through June of 2026. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, meaning it does its highest work in the sign of the great mother. Rather than drinking from a firehose of conflicting ideas in Gemini, Jupiter in Cancer supports the gestation of what you truly want to bring to fruition. Rather than finding faith in information or media, Jupiter in Cancer suggests making yourself a home/at home - in yourself.
Jupiter rules the fiery Sagittarius Full Moon on the 11th, offering up the opportunity to write a new story of faith and inspiration. And, at the solstice, Jupiter is very close to the Sun, flavoring the remainder of the year with its exuberance.
Our Solstice Astro-Salon on the 20th offers a chance to take stock of the first half of the year, and focus your intent for the next six months. Our agenda includes:
the opportunity to tell the story of the first half of the solar year;
the chance to revise your story as necessary to be one of celebration and honoring of your creative power;
a brief astro-review of the remainder of 2025 to orient us to what is still to come;
and a short relaxation exercise to anchor your renewed intention for this pivotal time in history.
I hope to see you there!
